The undergarment industry is facing a first innovation with 3D technology – lady’s panties produced with 3D printer in less than 3 seconds. This means, you can visit a store and walk out within minutes with custom printed 3D underwear adds an expert.

The embarrassing feminine hygiene has made Tamar Giloh to develop a new found technology that has taken the textile industry by storm. To find a solution for the bothering issues of heavy menstrual issues, Tamar Giloh along with her husband began to work on automated system, which can offer fabrics with 3D prints.

After a decade or more, the Israeli couple has now arrived at a functional blend of spray polymers and fibers in controlled environment in order to manufacture disposable, panties, sportswear, bandages and others.

Giloh, CEO, Tamicare said that they set out their hunt to find a product and then realized that they have developed an innovative technology and said that it was a multi million market. The England based company, Tamicare has accumulated $10 million so far and the Manchester firm is involved in talks with Israeli contract manufacturers to assemble the fabric printers.

The company with over 12 employees is selling its machines to companies that are based on cosmetics and health care about $3 million in each sector. A single unit of the company would be able to produce 10 million biodegradable panties every year.

Next year, Tamicare plans to launch its 3D printed feminine product at Israel’s leading chain of pharmacy market - the underwear with absorbent padded which can be disposed after a single use. This company is also in talks with a biggest US company that specializes in the undergarments of woman in America. Its compression bandages are also yet to hit the market this year but it declined to name the companies with which it plans to have a tie up.

When speaking about the Tamicare’s underwear, Giloh said that it was similar to a panty with a pad but not similar to the pull-ups from Kimberly Clark. Stephen Russell, Professor, University of Leeds said that, Tamicare’s products have good potential, as it is radical relief from the usual hygiene products.
